CIF Polls: DP boys, Royals girls hold top-10 rankings

Dos Pueblos and San Marcos each has a track & field team amongst the strongest programs in CIF’s Southern Section, with the Charger boys and the Royals girls teams ranked in their respective divisions.

The Chargers are tied for seventh in Division two while the Royals are tied for No. 8 in Division III.

Dos Pueblos’ Nick Scarvelis is the only local athlete with an individual CIF ranking, based off projected placement at the divisional championships. Scarvelis, a senior who excels in the shot put and discus, is tied with Rowland’s Nick Rivera at No. 5.

Both the Royals and Chargers are competing on Friday in the Channel League Championships in Ventura.
