Come join UCSB Recreational Sports for the annual Briner Bowl bowling tournament at Zodo’s on Friday, April 29.
This Baker bowl style tournament is held to remember and celebrate the life of our dear colleague and friend, Chad Briner, by partaking in one of his favorite activities, bowling. Chad’s involvement with the development of Rec Sports’ Gauchosplay.com and his love for Intramural Bowling has left a lasting impression of the UCSB campus. This event will also help raise money for the UCSB Recreational Sports Chad Briner Memorial Student Staff Development Fund, which was set-up in his honor.
No experience is necessary to participate, and spots will fill up fast. Stop by the UCSB Recreational Sports office to sign-up individually or with a team of 5.
All individual players will be placed on a team the day of the tournament. The Baker system places emphasis on the team effort, calculating an average score for each team. All proceeds and 15% of all food and beverage sales will be donated to The Chad Briner Memorial Student Staff Development Fund.
