San Marcos rallied for four runs in the seventh inning at Buena to tie the score and send the game into extra innings, but the Bulldogs pulled out a 7-6 win in the bottom of the ninth.
Aleesa Yanez drove in Lindsey Dietz for the game-winner that left the Bulldogs (11-7, 7-1) one game behind Dos Pueblos in the Channel League race for the title.
Yanez had three hits and three RBIs for Buena, while Dietz was 4-for-5 with a double and a triple.
Hannah Ball went 2-for-3 with a double, triple and two RBIs to lead San Marcos (9-9, 4-6). Maria Perez added two hits for the Royals.
