Dons show balanced score sheet in win over Buena

Jonathan Collins and the Santa Barbara golf team all hit in the 70s for the second day in a row and defeated 378-439.

Collins was the medalist for the day, shooting a 1-over par 72 at Montecito Country Club.

The rest of Santa Barbara’s scores were within three strokes of each other. Sean Searls finished with a 75, while James Morton finished with a 76 and Ryan Stoll  a 77. Alec Constantinides and Mickey Kirby rounded out Santa Barbara’s scores with 78s.

“This was a great rebound after a loss yesterday as the boys were anxious to get back on the course,” Santa Barbara coach James Bedard said. “It is very promising that all six players were better than Buena’s best score. Six scores in the 70s plays to our strength and it is the second consecutive day that we have had that.”

Jared Raschke led Buena with a score of 79.

Santa Barbara moved to 13-3 overall, and 4-1 in league.  Buena fell to 0-5 in league.
