Carpinteria swimmers dominate Fillmore

Jacob Pate, Kalia Dilioia and the girls 200 medley relay team recorded CIF consideration times to lead the Carpinteria boys and girls swimming teams to wins over Fillmore in a Frontier League dual meet on Wednesday.

Pate clocked 1:04.68 to win the 100 back in the Warriors’ 92-7 romp. The team of Hope Grant, Carter Grant, Dilioia and Maddie Brooks won the 200 individual medley relay in 2:10.57 in the girls’ 104-47 victory over the Flashes.

Dilioia won the 100 butterfly in 1:08.18

Hope Grant was a double winner for the Carpinteria girls (8-0, 4-0), taking the 100 and 200 freestyle. She also was part of two winning relay teams.

Allen Chavez swam on the winning 200 medley and 200 free relays, and he captured the 200 free and 500 free.

Carpinteria’s boys improve to 7-1 and 4-0 in league.

The Warriors have one more dual meet remaining on April 20 at Cate.
