Carpinteria girls split, boys fall short in TVL meet

Carpinteria girls track split its Tri-Valley League meet, beating St. Bonaventure 70-63 and losing to La Reina 58-78. The boys team were not as successful, losing to St. Bonaventure 72-52.

Carpinteria’s girls track moved to 1-2 in league, and 2-2 overall.

Shelby Dunlap led the way for the girls squad, producing season bests to win both the 100 and 300 hurdles, along with a victory in the high jump. Kelsey Drain won the pole vault with a PR of 8-6.

Carpinteria’s boys  fell to 0-2 in league, and 1-2 overall.

David Cornejo won the 300 hurdles and long jump, while Travis Madden won the 800. Noah Woo also came out a winner for the Warriors in the high jump.
