Warriors win third PVC game in a row

Carpinteria softball won its third Pacific View Challenge game  on Wednesday, defeating Santa Paula 10-1.

After coming off a 5-inning no- hit pitching performance on Tuesday, Catalina Maldonado (5-3),  kept it going on Wednesday, allowing only one run and going 3-for-4 at the plate, including a two-run double in the fifth.

Myriah Diaz extended the lead with her own two-run double the next inning, topping Carpinteria’s run total to 10. Diaz was 2-3 on the day.

Carmen Campi also stepped up for the Warriors, going 3-3  for the day.

Carpinteria is now 7-3 overall. Its next game is Monday at home against Santa Ynez.
