Three-setters, match goes to L.A. Pierce

L.A. Pierce won a tight match at No. 5 singles and went on to defeat SBCC 6-3 on Tuesday in a WSC men’s tennis match at Pershing Park. Nathan Crosby edged Rob Herr of the Vaqueros 2-6, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (3) at No. 5 singles and the Brahmas won another three-setter at No. 3.

Troy Akin posted SBCC’s singles win with a 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 decision at No. 4. Akin, who also won in doubles with Regis Fastrez, is 3-0 in singles.

The Vaqueros (0-4, 0-2 WSC) travel to Ventura on Thursday.
