Bishop Diego’s Shannon Slaught and Joshua Chevez competed in a non-league swim meet at Dos Pueblos on Tuesday, one day ahead of their Frontier League-opening meet in Carpinteria on Wednesday.
Slaught posted automatic CIF qualifying times in the 100 breaststroke and the 50 freestyle. Slaught was timed at 1:11.94 in the breast stroke and 26.31 in the sprint.
Chevez recorded personal best times in both the 100 free and 100 breast.
