Janelle Nguyen bettered her CIF qualifying mark in the 100 butterlfy and swam on two relay teams that met CIF consideration times in Dos Pueblos’ 139-47 girls Channel League meet victory over Buena on Tuesday.
Nguyen clocked 58.86 to win the 100 fly. The relays she competed were the 200 medley (1:57.71) with Madison Faulkner, Cayley Cruickshank and Maelyn Adornetto and 200 freestyle (1:46.55) with Emily Rose Williams, Adornetto and Faulkner.
The Chargers also set a consideration time in the 400 free (3:52.13) with the team of Williams, Adornetto, Laurel Kistler and Kiley Neushul.
Neushul earned a consideration time in the 100 backstroke at 1:03.09.
In diving, DP’s Sarah Rushton took first place and Mattea Stalie finished third.
The Chargers return to action Thursday at Santa Barbara.
