Shorthanded Chargers edged by Arroyo Grande

Missing two starters, the Dos Pueblos tennis team fell to Arroyo Grande 10-8 in a non-league match on Friday.

“We played without two starters, Jared Madison and Richard Cheng. One was prepping for a weekend tournament, and the other, a Mock Trial Competition,” coach Liz Frech said. “Nonetheless, the team again played with a lot of heart and grinded.”

The Chargers got a good performance in doubles.

“We snagged five sets in dubs, thanks to the efforts of Jake Roberts and Caleb Franzen, Eric Katz and Sean Simpson, and Maston Casady and Peter Shao,” said Frech. “In singles, the Eagles outmatched us with Eli Whittle (#57, B16s) and Sean Hollister (#112, B16s), and we earned only three sets.”
