Santa Barbara High’s boys soccer team will enter the CIF Division 1 playoffs as the No. 2 team from the Channel League.
The Dons were dethroned as league champ by Ventura after it defeated Buena 2-1 on Tuesday night. That resulted vaulted the Cougars into first with 19 points (6-1-1), one more than Santa Barbara (6-2).
It was Ventura’s first league title since 2009.
The teams will learn their playoff draw on Monday.
