Carpinteria and Villanova will play a Frontier League tiebreaker boys basketball game on Friday night at St. Bonaventure in Ventura. Tip off is 7 p.m.
The teams tied for third place in the league with 5-5 records. Friday’s winner will earn the league’s No. 3 automatic bid for the CIF playoffs. The loser could apply for an at-large bid.
Carpinteria is 14-10 overall under first-year coach Johnny Ward.
