Bishop can’t catch hot-shooting Oak Park

Oak Park pumped in five 3-pointers in the first period to build a 19-9 en route toa 53-33 win over Bishop Diego in a Tri-Valley League girls basketball game.

Kelsey Stimson scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Cardinals, who struggled shooting the ball.

“We left a lot of points in their gym,” Bishop coach Jeff Burich said. “We should have scored way more. That was the frustrating part.”

Bishop Diego finished 13-13 overall and 4-8 in league play. They’ll be playing in the CIF 5-A playoffs next week.

“We’ll be ready for the playoffs,” said Burich.
