Tetteh talks about his MLS Combine experience

UCSB soccer player Michael Tetteh is featured in a video on the Internet site Soccer by Ives.

Tetteh, who is expected to be taken in the first round of Thursday’s MLS SuperDraft on Thursday morning (9 a.m. on ESPN2), talks about his performance at the MLS Player Combine.

Tetteh was considered the top left-sided defender at the combine. He signed a Generation adidas contract just days before the combine, forgoing his senior season at UCSB.

Tetteh will be joined at the draft in Baltimore by his friend and Gaucho teammate Waid Ibrahim. Both players came to Santa Barbara from Ghana through the Right to Dream Foundation. They played together at Dunn School in Los Olivos and reconnected at UCSB.

Ibrahim flew back east with Debbie Foley, West Coast Director of the Right to Dream Foundation.

UCSB senior central defender Michael Boxall is expected to be drafted in the second round.
