Cate used the sharp-shooting of Spencer Shapiro and good defense to defeat rival Laguna Blanca 56-47 in a Condor League boys basketball game Tuesday night,
Shapiro made 6 of 7 3-point shots en route to a 20 points. Teammate Wes Greason led all scorers with 22 points.
Laguna’s Brandon Bickett was held to 11 points and Logan Elder added 10 for the Owls.
