Royals’ offense can’t snap scoring drought

San Marcos’ scoring woes continued, as the Royals dropped a 1-0 Channel League girls soccer game to visiting Ventura on Thursday.

“It was another bad night at the office,” San Marcos coach Lloyd Biggs said. “Ventura scored in the third minute, and we didn’t start that well. It took us 15 minutes to get going.

“We didn’t create any chances,” he added. “We’re struggling in the attacking third.”

The Royals fall to 0-5 in league.

Biggs reported that goalkeeper Hannah Ball is doing well after suffering a stinger from a collision with a Dos Pueblos player on Tuesday night.
