Erin Ristig scored two goals and Dos Pueblos stayed in the hunt for the Channel League girls soccer title with a 4-0 win over Ventura on Tuesday.
Roxanne Mason got the Chargers rolling with a goal in the sixth minute. Rachel Smith made it 2-0 in the 38th minute and Ristig followed with her first goal in the 39th minute.
“We played a really good first half. It was probably our best half of the season,” DP coach Jose Guerrero said. “We had 12 chances in the first half.”
Ristig closed out the scoring with her second goal in the 72nd minute.
Anna Rudeen posted the shutout.
Dos Pueblos improves to 15-4 and 4-1 in league.
While Roseanna is a very nice name, it’s Roxanne Mason who scored the first goal.
