Bishop done it by Oak Park’s outside shooting

Oak Park’s torrid perimeter shooting was too much for Bishop Diego to handle, and the Cardinals dropped a 61-45 decision in a Tri-Valley League girls basketball game on Tuesday.

“They are a good 3-point shooting team,” Bishop coach Jeff Burich said of the Eagles. “They hit eight threes against our man-to-man defense. They’re just a tough team to defend.”

Allison Breuer scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Cardinals (10-11, 1-6), while Kelsey Stimson added nine points and nine rebounds. Essence Thornhill was all over the court. She had seven points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals.
