Bishop’s Brosnan scores two more in tie

Justin Brosnan scored two goals, but Bishop Diego was unable to hold the lead and settled for a 2-2 at Santa Clara in a non-league boys soccer game on Friday.

Luis Ortiz asssited on both of Brosnan’s goals. The forward now has nine goals for the season.

The Cardinals had leads of 1-0 and 2-1.

Bishop coach Jesus Landeros praised the versatile play of Aaron Rubio, the back line of Michael Morando, Tyler Rogers, Ryan Dinham and goalkeeper Vince Werthman.

The result leaves Bishop Diego with a 3-3-2 record.
