With Marina Plesons running the attack in the center midfield, the Dos Pueblos girls soccer team started its season on a winning note Tuesday, beating Oxnard 2-1.
Rachel Smith and Brandie Harris scored unassisted goals in the second half for the Chargers.
“The girls played a great second half,” first-year coach Jose Guerrero said. “Marina Plesons she led the attack offensively and defensively played great.”
The Chargers are back in action Wednesday at home against Santa Ynez.
