Warriors blown out by Biola

Westmont gave up a goal in the first three minutes and it went all down hill from there as the Warriors were buried 5-0 in a Golden State Athletic Conference men’s soccer match on Tuesday in La Mirada.

Biola scored on a long shot off a corner kick at the 3:24 mark and added a second goal in the first half at 42:32.

The Eagles tacked on three goals in the second half.

The last time the Warriors lost by five goals was on Oct. 18, 1993 when they fell to Santa Clara by the same 5-0 score. They went on to win the NAIA District III Championship that year and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament, posting a season record of 16-4-4.

Westmont falls to 6-2-2 and 1-2-0 in the GSAC. Biola is 4-5-1, 2-1-0.
