Providence Hall battles back to win in five

Olivia Barroca reeled off 12 aces to help rally Providence Hall to a five-set girls volleyball win at West Valley Christian. The game scores were 21-25, 24-26, 25-21, 25-5, 15-12.

“It was night and day for us,” said Providence Hall assistant coach Laura Trudelle about the team’s play.

Hannah Park sparked the comeback with “awesome serve reception and defense,” said Trudelle. “She is an excellent passer.”

Park’s passing help set up Faith Emerson at the net. She finished with 18 kills.

Serving also played a key in the comeback win for the Lions (3-5). Emerson had 10 aces and Park had no service errors in the match.
