Lions’ tough serving throws off Hillcrest Christian

Faith Emerson recorded a triple-double, and Providence Hall rallied from a 23-18 deficit in the third set to pull out a four-set victory over Hillcrest Christian in a girls volleyball match on Thursday.

The game scores were 25-16, 21-25, 29-27, 25-20.

Emerson played an all-around strong match. She had a team-high 13 kills, 10 assists and 15 digs to go along with four service aces and three blocks.

“She also was a positive leader out there the whole time,” said assistant coach Laura Trudelle.

Lacey Gonzalez set up Emerson for most of her kills. She had 13 assists and served up seven aces.

Trudelle said the team’s tough serving was a key to the victory.
