Vanesa Villa’s 39 did the trick for Dos Pueblos’ girls golf team on Tuesday, leading the Chargers to a 220-275 Channel League victory over San Marcos.
The crosstown battle took place on the back nine at Santa Barbara Golf Club, which has a par of 35.
DP’s Bekah Beveridge posted the day’s second best score with a 40 while Emily Fox carded a 43.
Alexandria Peretiako held the Royals’ low score at 48.
Dos Pueblos is now at 4-1 in league play while the Royals fall to 0-5. It was the Chargers’ first match since suffering a rare Channel League loss to Santa Barbara on Thursday.
Dos Pueblos had a match on Wednesday at Paso Robles that was rained out.
