Cate’s Friday night 39-26 victory at No. 7 Lancaster Baptist earned the Rams’ 8-Man football team a two-level boost in the latest CIF Polls released on Monday.
The Rams moved to a season-high No. 4 ranking after a 5-0 start. Condor League rival Thacher dropped to No. 6 in the 8-man Division I rankings after overcoming Laguna Blanca 56-44. The Rams will see what they can do against the Owls in their next game on Saturday.
While Dos Pueblos’ girls volleyball maintained its No. 9 ranking in Div. I-AA, Laguna Blanca climbed to the No. 2 spot in Div. IV-AA.
In boys water polo, Santa Barbara moved up to No. 7, right behind No. 6 Dos Pueblos.
