A huge Santa Barbara crowd came out to cheer on their Mission City Brawlin’ Betties on Saturday in their first home bout since June.

MCBB faced a fierce 13-1 Bakersfield Diamond Divas team who were coming off of their first loss with a vengeance to regain their momentum.  The game was an absolute battle with several big hits that threw the skaters into the crowd.

The Divas played a big, physical game, but the Betties strategy won them the bout in the end.  By focusing on earning Lead Jammer and slowing down the pack, the Bettie blockers were able to control the tempo of the game while their speedy jammers racked up the points.

With a final score of 141-102, the Betties move to 7-1 for the season.
