Dons medalist Haley True eyes her pitch onto the first green on Thursday.
Haley True earned her fifth medalist honor of the season to lead the Santa Barbara High girls golf team to a 244-290 win over San Marcos in a Channel League match at Montecito Country Club on Thursday.
True shot an 8-over par 44 to lead three Dons in the 40s. Kyle Wagner shot 48 and Sarah Kirkwood 49.

“Haley’s playing her best golf of the season right now, which is great,” said Santa Barbara coach Ryan Throop. “She hoping to make it to the Channel League Individuals and then go make it to the next level.”
Wagner made a birdie on No. 8 and “played a consistent round,” said Throop.
San Marcos was led by Alexandria Peretiako with a 46.
Santa Barbara improves to 9-3 and 2-0 in league play. San Marcos is 0-2 in league.
