Davis’ Marissa Mar claimed this year’s Santa Barbara Women’s Open on Thursday, shooting a 73 at Santa Barbara Golf Club that put her in front of challengers Fumie Sato and Sasha Cruz.

Cruz entered the day with a one-stroke lead over Sato and Mar after carding a 76 at Sandpiper Golf Course on Wednesday. But Mar came back on Thursday and recorded a round four-shots better than anyone else, giving her the easy win.
Mar’s two-day total of 150 bested Cruz’s 155 and Katherine James’ 157. Sato closed at 158.
