UCSB triathletes Lauren Capone and Jordy Littell topped Tuesday night’s biathlon at Reef and Run No. 13, with Capone winning the 1k/2-mile run in 33 minutes and 18 seconds.
Capone edged Littell by 13 seconds by making up some ground during the 2-mile run, outpacing all other biathlon competitors with a time of 13:50. Littell was the next fastest runner at 14:21.
Moose Warren emerges from the surf as the winner of the 1k ocean swim on Tuesday.
[nggallery id=43]UCSB teammate Katherine “Moose” Warren claimed the 1k swim in 17:33, followed closely by last week’s winner in Doug Parent. Jess Broderick went from fourth last week to first place this week in the 1-mile swim, recording a time of 23:17.
Ilias Konstantopoulos captured the title in the 4-mile run in 25:28.
