DP Sluggers take second in Naval Base tourney

The Dos Pueblos Little League Sluggers, a team of players age 7 and under, finished as runners-up at the Naval Base Ventura County Junior Baseball Tournament.

The Sluggers fell to the host Naval Base team in the final. They went 2-1 in pool play and advanced to the championship with an 18-8 win over Moorpark.

The Sluggers, managed by Dr. Dan Brennan, include players Dylan Borgeson, Josh Brennan, Reeve and Trevor Craig, Damian Frausto, Connor Gleissner, Thomas Mock, Ty Montgomery, Alex Moosbrugger, Nathan Trujillo and Jared Williams.

  1. Is this for real? Tournaments for 7 year olds? What have glory-driven fathers come to? I can't believe Presidio Sports is catering to this.

    • One of the main reasons we do this is to give kids credit for playing hard, and also to provide things that they can go back to and enjoy in the future in scrapbooks and such. These young players and their families love seeing their names in print, and it adds to the fun of being a kid playing sports. What’s wrong with that? I would have loved to have an article written about my Little League team back in the day!
