Adrienne Binder is making waves in ocean swimming.
A former standout in the pool at San Marcos High and Auburn University, she won the 1-kilometer swim off Leadbetter Beach at Nite Moves No. 8 Wednesday.
Binder last week won a special women’s swim at Nite Moves. This time she took the overall race in 14 minutes, 36 seconds.
JP Jackson came down from Solvang and won the 5-kilometer run n 17:48.
The aquathon was won by Kyle Visin in 37:55. He did the swim in 16:02 and the run in 21:54. Danielle Lipski of Carpinteria was the first woman finisher in 43:34.
