PresidioSports.com is happy to announce the opening of registration for this year’s Santa Barbara Beach Soccer Summer Slam.
The 2010 Summer Slam is an official Semana Nautica event, to be held Saturday, July 10th on West Beach. It is also conveniently scheduled on the same weekend as the FIFA World Cup final, when soccer fever will be at its highest pitch.
The beach soccer tournament, which will feature 5-on-5 play in the sand, will feature brackets consisting of an Open Division, plus Co-Ed, High School & Junior High competitions.
A $500 championship prize will be awarded to the Open Division winner and all other division winners will receive special recognition and prizes at the official after-party, hosted by World Cup headquarters Union Ale Brewing Company.
The Santa Barbara Beach Soccer Summer Slam is the perfect summertime activity for the South Coast, taking soccer to the beach on the sport’s premier weekend.
