SBSC Banquet celebrates talented senior class

Over 200 swimmers and their families gathered at the Santa Barbara Cabrillo Arts Pavilion to celebrate the graduating Senior Class and a year of tremendous success for the swim club.

“We are all glad to be swimming fast and swimming well, but the healthy and inclusive culture of our club is what I am most proud of,” said Head Coach John Dussliere.

It was apparent that all were welcome as the room was filled with swimmers from 5-19 years old celebrating their success, in and out of the pool.  Parents were recognized as well for their continued support in all areas of the club.

The graduating senior class was featured in the club’s yearly Video Yearbook with pictures of past and present days in the pool with SBSC.  Emily Wheeler began with the club at 5 years old and will attend SBCC’s Registered Nursing Program.  Bryson Alef has been with the club since age 11 and will be  attending and swimming for Amherst College.

Nolan Gardner, who started swimming at age 14, will be studying and swimming at UMASS Amherst.  Karl Boscacci has been with the club since 9 years old and will be swimming in the PAC 10 at Arizona State University.  Darrell Eacret, who was the youngest SBSC starter at 4 years old, will attend and swim at Emory University this fall.  They are all truly Champions in the Pool and Champions in Life.
