As expected, Santa Barbara High’s boys tennis team received the No. 2 seed for the CIF Division I boys tennis playoffs on Monday, just 48 hours before the Dons begin their title chase with a first round match against a wild card team.
Sonora and Redondo will play on Tuesday for the chance to meet the Dons in Wednesday’s first round at 3 p.m. on the Santa Barbara High courts.

Dos Pueblos, the No. 3 team from the Channel League, will travel to Loyola to face the Mission League runner-up.
Like the Dons, Condor League champion Cate enters the postseason as the No. 2 seed in Division IV. And also like the Dons, the Rams host a wild-card winner on Wednesday at 3 p.m. in their opening-round match.
Bishop Diego, runner-up in the Frontier League, travels to another league No. 2, Buckley, from the Liberty League.
