Injury to cost Pontius 4-6 weeks

Former UCSB soccer All-American Chris Pontius suffered a hamstring injury during the first half of DC United’s 2-0 MLS loss last Saturday against the Chicago Fire.

The midfielder-forward is expected to be sidelined four to six weeks, according to the club. Pontius is the third starter in four matches to go off with a hamstring injury. DC United is off to a 0-4 start in MLS.
