Cardinals crunched by Earwigs

Bishop Diego’s boys tennis team was upended by Dunn on Friday, posting a 13-5 non-league defeat to the Earwigs.

Dunn did its damage in singles play, sweeping all nine sets. The Cardinals fared much better in doubles, taking five of nine sets.

Matthew Grimes and Charlie Taylor combined in doubles to win two-of-three sets while the Sean Stratford-Mick Mathis team swept all three of its sets.

The match wraps up regular season play for the Cardinals, who will next compete at the Frontier League Championships at Santa Clara  starting on Tuesday.
