Dakota Wilcox had a rare two-triple performance on Tuesday as the Carpinteria softball team crushed visiting Santa Paula 20-3 in a 5-inning mercy-rule decision.
Myriah Diaz added a grand slam in the fifth inning , and Carmen Campi drove in three runs on a pair of doubles. The Warriors overcame four errors on the day.
“We didn’t have a great fielding day, but we made up for it on the offensive end,” said coach Henry Gonzales.
The Warriors (6-1) host Fillmore on Thursday.
