Megan McAlister put up big numbers in her team’s biggest game of the year on Friday.
The Laguna Blanca senior scored 15 points with 18 rebounds and seven steals as the Owls beat visiting Thacher 41-36 for the Condor League girls basketball title.
Laguna (11-7, 5-1) trailed by 10 at halftime but cut the deficit to one heading into the fourth quarter, which the Owls won 14-8. Amanda Schulenberg scored 10 points while Natalie Nomura had eight and freshman Zoe Serbin added seven.
The Toads finish the regular season at 6-13, 4-2.
