Bishop takes 15-0 start and runs with it at Louisville

Courtney Houston and Kelsey Stimson each scored 13 points and Janelle Kohler had 12 points with 10 rebounds as the Bishop Diego girls basketball team picked up “a good win against a very good team” according to coach Jeff Burich, defeating host Louisville 50-39. The Cardinals got off to an impressive 15-0 start in the game.

Houston had four steals and Stimson had as many assists. The Cardinals had 10 assists as a team and continued to share the ball effectively according to Burich.

“It was a good team game. We treated it as a tune-up for the playoffs,” he said. “We started off not pressing just to play half-court defense, but it made our press stronger when we started it.”

Next up is Malibu on Tuesday.
