MAFF announces free goal-setting seminar

Martial Arts Family Fitness (MAFF), a family-owned and operated school dedicated to improving lives through martial arts, announced today that it is offering a free seminar to the public: “Goal Setting by Board Breaking”. The event will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, January 29, 2010 at Martial Arts Family Fitness, located at 122 E. Gutierrez Street in Santa Barbara.

“Many of us use the beginning of the year to set goals in our personal and business lives,” said Melodee Meyer, co-owner of Martial Arts Family Fitness. “Staying on track to reach a goal requires focus and dedication, which is the foundation for many of the martial arts. Breaking a board is a very symbolic when it comes to our daily lives, and can help people realize the power they already have.”

“We are offering this seminar free of charge to the public,” added Dave Wheaton, Chief Instructor and co-owner of Martial Arts Family Fitness. “In this seminar participants will learn how to use the power of their minds, and their internal power – referred to as ‘chi’ in the martial arts – to break a board, and ultimately to achieve their goals.”

“The event is ideal for kids and adults,” added Ms. Meyer. “No experience in martial arts is necessary. We offer a safe environment for attendees to participate and grow from this exciting opportunity. Several experienced black belts will be on hand to demonstrate proper board breaking and assist participants.” The seminar is free to public, but attendees must call and pre-register as space is limited.
