Jewelry sale to benefit junior cycling team

Local sports psychology coach Susan Farber, MFT, owner of The Winning Edge for Sport and Life, will be hosting an event to benefit the Echelon Junior Cycling Team on Saturday, February 6th.

The event will feature Farber’s other passion, jewelry making. Products from her jewelry line, Beaded Brilliance, will be sold and part of the proceeds will go directly to Echelon.

The cycling club is a non-profit organization which has been around since 1986. The club supports the junior team by supplying equipment, coaching, and transportation to all races. Coaching is provided by 1984 Olympian and record-holder Rory O’Reilly.

Through its efforts and the support of Echelon and its sponsors, the Ecehlon Junior Cycling Team has exceeded all expectations, not only in cycling ability and races won, but also in each rider’s personal growth and commitment to the community.

The team aims to build a sustainable Junior Development Program that supports young riders in their goals both on and off their bikes. Their objective is to provide Olympic-caliber coaching and support so that each junior can reach his or her full potential. The team teaches young riders about teamwork and responsibility not only as cyclists, but also as students and members of the community.

The event will be from 3-5 p.m. at 22 West Micheltorena, Suite B.
