Chargers put chill on Bulldogs

Dos Pueblos nearly gave Buena goose eggs all day long, as the Chargers defense only allowed a single third quarter goal in a 15-1 Channel League victory on Tuesday.

Conner Cleary, who led the team with four goals, and Chase Rachich, with three, led the Chargers to a 9-0 halftime lead.

“He was all over the place today,” Chargers head coach Chris Parrish said of Cleary while complementing his shutdown defense.

Tracy Baker cooked up three steals, three assists and scored twice for DP, which is 2-0 in league and 13-4 overall.

Brady Moore, normally all defense in the cage, scored a fourth-quarter goal while playing in the field. Max Silva started in the place of injured Christian Terpening and scored a goal.

The Chargers face San Marcos on Thursday.
