The Santa Barbara and Dos Pueblos girls golf teams battled the wind at Santa Barbara Golf Club, with the Chargers fairing slightly better in a 222-239 Channel League victory that secured their 12th straight league title.
“It’s a testament to how many great players we’ve had go through our program,” said DP head coach Rob Schiff, whose been there for three with Doug Mitchell coaching the Chargers to many more before.
Dos Pueblos has yet to lose a match this season, improving to 13-0 overall and 7-0 in league.
Haley True was the Dons’ low scorer, one shot behind Fox with a 42. Sarah Kirkwood was close behind with a 44.
Santa Barbara’s only league losses have come against the Chargers this season. The Dons are 14-4 overall and 5-2 in league.
Dos Pueblos wraps up its regular season schedule on Tuesday against San Marcos.
