Courtney Belsheim scored on a header in the 32nd minute Friday afternoon and SBCC held on for a 1-1 women’s soccer tie at No. 7 Moorpark. Dani Jones set up the goal with a corner kick.
SBCC is 6-1-4 on the year and 1-0-1 in WSC North action. Moorpark (2-0-3, 0-0-1) tied the game midway through the second half.
“It was a hot afternoon and the girls really struggled to find their feet,” said coach John Sisterson. “It was a tough game, Moorpark competed very well.”
The Vaqueros return to action on Oct. 13 at Oxnard.
