Martony signs on to pitch for Oral Roberts

Dan Martony is taking his game to Tulsa, as the former Dos Pueblos Charger and current SBCC pitcher has signed with Oral Roberts University to play for renowned pitching coach Rob Walton.

Martony, the 2007 All-County Pitcher of the Year, was ranked in the top 100 pitchers nationally by MaxPreps.com in his senior year at Dos Pueblos, ending the season with an 11-2 record and a 0.95 ERA with 52 strikeouts. He also pitched for the Pepsi National Team in Washington.

He was a reliever for the Vaqueros, and will now play for an NCAA Division I program that is consistently ranked in the nation’s top 25.
