Channel League finals set for boys swimmers

Chase Racich, Christian Terpening and Karl Boscacci recorded automatic qualifying times for CIF in the Channel League swim prelims on Wednesday and all qualified for Friday’s finals in multiple events.

Dos Pueblos’ Racich and Terpening dominated the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke respectively while Santa Barbara’s Karl Boscacci beat the field by nearly 10 seconds for the victory in the 500 free. Boscacci also won the 200 free but not in automatic qualifying time.

San Marcos’ Sam Boysel swam career-best races in the 200 and 100 free to qualify in both events. Teammate Jorge Flores came through with a season best to qualify in the 100 butterfly.
