Freddy Williamson’s five kills and three digs couldn’t save Laguna Blanca’s boys volleyball team from slipping down to third place in the Condor League with a 23-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-22 at Fillmore.
“All of the games were pretty close and it was exciting volleyball, but we were unfortunately on the short end of the stick,” said coach Bobby Sanchez. “We had a good start to the season, but it seems all of our opponents are getting better and we are at a standstill… We’re treading water, and we’re still in it.”
The Owls (7-6, 6-3) wrap up the regular season with must-win matches against Dunn, OVS and rival Cate.
