Dons relay team takes clutch race in CIF time

Lindsay Parrish, Lolo Blair, Camille Wissman and Samantha King nailed down a CIF qualifying time in the last race of the day, winning the 400 freestyle relay to push the Santa Barbara girls swim team past Buena 86-80 on Friday afternoon.

The boys’ meet wasn’t as tight with the Dons winning 121-62.

Karl Boscacci had a monster day, setting a school record in the 500 free. Of course that was good for CIF as well and he also won the 200-free in CIF qualifying territory.

Hunter Ploch took two events for the boys in the the 50 free and 100 butterfly and Grayson Delgado is undefeated as a diver, winning the diving competition in his first meet.

Dons head coach Mark Walsh pointed out that without Montana Marshall and Elle Iverson winning the diving on the girls side, Santa Barbara would have lost.

Lolo Blair and Lindsay Parrish did all they could, both winning two individual races before the meet-clinching win in the 400-relay.
