Tirador leads Chargers past Bulldogs, 3-1

Bradley Tirador pitched a gem for Dos Pueblos’ baseball team Tuesday as the Chargers picked up a 3-1 win over visiting Buena.

Tirador went six innings, allowing five hits and a run while striking out three and walking none as SP got all the offense it needed in thefourth.

Ryan Ventura and Dane Limosnero led off the inning with back-to-back singles and Michael Spiritosanto laid down a sacrifice bunt to advance the runners. Cory Micheel walked to load the bases, and Josh Paden doubled off the wall to drive in two runs.

The Chargers (3-4, 1-1) added an insurance run in the fifth.

“I feel like our pitching’s really carrying us. As soon as our bats wake up we can start stringin some wins together,” said coach Nate Mendoza.
